The IMA Financial Group, Inc. announced today the hiring of Anna Ewing as Chief Operations Officer. In this position, Ewing will oversee operational integration, business process optimization and human capital management to better support and align the business initiatives within the insurance, wealth management and capital investment platforms of the IMA Financial Group and its subsidiaries. Her first day will be May 1, 2018.

As Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Director of the Colorado Office of Economic Development, Ewing oversaw the operations of 10 divisions in the state economic development agency. She was an advisor to cabinet members and led Colorado Governor Hickenlooper’s marquee initiative, the Colorado Innovation Network (COIN), a physical and virtual network of global leaders supporting Colorado’s innovation ecosystem. Prior to her time with the State, Ewing was Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Americas where her responsibilities included leadership through one of the largest business transactions in corporate history, the sale of Vodafone’s stake in Verizon Wireless to Verizon Communications. Before that, Ewing held progressive strategic and financial positions in several industries including resort management with Intrawest, and marketing and advertising with the Omnicom Group Inc. network.

A graduate of Baylor University and a Certified Public Accountant, Ewing is also an active member of the Colorado community. She serves as an advisor with the Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network, as chairman of PawsCo, an animal welfare nonprofit organization, and is actively involved with the Denver Metro Chamber and its Leadership Foundation as a speaker and facilitator. Ewing is a member of multiple business and leadership organizations including the Quarterly Forum, the Association for Corporate Growth and the Colorado Society of CPAs.
